Obituary for Lorice Alvey
Lorice Alvey (nee Thomas) age 97, passed away peacefully Saturday May 2, 2020. Beloved wife of Joseph (deceased); loving mother of Kenneth (Kathleen), Joseph (Rhonda), Robert (Louise); cherished grandmother of Kara (Christopher) Nonno, Kendra (Eric) Urdzik, Sarah (Daniel) Tabak, Janice, Evan and Joey; great-grandmother of Stela and Oliver Nonno, Fisher and Hadley Urdzik, Talen Tabak and Athena Rothman; dearest sister of Thomas Thomas (Theresa - deceased) and the following deceased : Wadia (Said) Richards, Mary (Albert) Assad, Lulu (John) Basile, Francis (Fred) Haddad and Wady (Patricia) Thomas; dear aunt and devoted friend of many. Lorice was preceded in death by her parents Assad and Melia Thomas. A deeply religious and devote Catholic her entire life, Lorice was a faithful parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Parma for 68 years and St. Basil Catholic Church in Brecksville. She always put God and family first and lived beautifully simple with grace, perseverance and fortitude. Our family is forever grateful for all the care and friendship of the staff and residents of Jennings at Brecksville and special caregiver Doris Hopper. Burial service is private at Holy Cross Cemetery. Catholic Mass and celebration of life at later date.
