Donna Teaman

Donna Marie Teaman (nee Salata), 82, of Broadview Hts., passed away peacefully after fighting cancer on June 8, 2024. 

Donna was an incredible woman who will be dearly missed by her family, many cousins, and friends. She is survived by her children Scott (Beth), Brian (Kimberly), Alison (Ryan), and grandchildren Samuel (Jena), Sophia, Jackson, and Alexa. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald and her parents Albert and Mary. 

Donna was a graduate of Cuyahoga Heights High School, where she met many dear friends and was very active in clubs and cheerleading. She went to Bowling Green State University and graduated with a degree in Home Economics and Education. She was a lieutenant in the AirForce ROTC. She met her better half on the campus of BGSU and was married for 58 years. During her 4 years at BG, Donna and Ron met friends that would be considered family. Vacations to the OBX, Williamsburg, Tahoe, Italy included the BG families. Donna went back to school in her 50’s and graduated from the University of Akron with a master’s degree in education. Donna was an extraordinary teacher for 25 years in the Cleveland Public Schools. Touching thousands of lives with her loving and kind heart. It was common for her to visit with her students, which she affectionally called her children, even after they graduated from high school. Donn and Ron made a home for the 3 kids in Brecksville, on Sunnydale Estates. There, neighbors became family and friendships of over 50 years flourished. The highlight of her life was being Baba to her 4 grandchildren. Nothing made her prouder than watching them grow up.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 5 PM – 8 PM (PARASTAS 7 PM) at Kolodiy Lazuta Funeral Home 5677 State Rd. Parma, OH 44134. Funeral Service Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10 AM at  St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral 5913 State Rd. Parma, OH 44134. Inurnment Private. It is requested that we celebrate her life. Wear colorful clothes that represent her bright and cheerful love of life, the Lord, the beach, cooking, and traveling. Donna had a real fight for life. During her life she was dealt some bad cards, but that never let it get the best of her. Rather, Donna’s faith, family, and friends guided her path through life. She was a light to those that knew her and loved her and will be ever so missed.
