Helen Dolbin (nee Samijlenko)

Born July 11, 1941 In Ukraine. Beloved and devoted wife of 58 years to Walter Dolbin. Cherished and loving mother to Victor (Andrea), Katia (Terry), Nick (Kim). She was the proud and adoring “Busia” to Alexandria, Tas, Gabrielle, Sissy, Mikayla and Eva. Loving daughter of Hryhroij and Sofia Samijlenko (both deceased), sister of the late Walter (Nina) and George (Martha). She was proud aunt, Godmother, and great-aunt.
Helen immigrated to America in 1956 with her parents and brothers. She graduated from Lincoln High School and attended Fenn College. She married her soulmate Walter and together they created a beautiful family of 3 children and 6 grandchildren who were the light of her life. Helen worked for 27 years at American Greetings, was active in her Ukrainian Community, and her beloved Orthodox Church where she enjoyed singing in choir for over 40 years. She was a board member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church reborn in 1921.
Helen was a gentle soul who always put her family first and never missed an opportunity to spend time with loved ones. She lived for being a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and enjoyed staying in touch with friends and neighbors. The world was a better place with Helen in it and she will be greatly missed—Memory Eternal.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Helen's name to the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church "Dome Fund".
