Joyce Ellen Desrosiers

Joyce E. Desrosiers (nee Hunker), age 86, originally of Lorain, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Desrosiers for 42 years and sister to Gloria (Hunker) Johnston, Laurel (Hunker) Koba and Richard Hunker. Joyce was the mother of Laura Robusto, Richard Desrosiers (Anne), Danielle Desrosiers (Alicia Leonard) and Michael Desrosiers. She was the loving grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 10. Joyce attended Mount Sinai School of Nursing, where she made lifelong friends. She enjoyed spending time with family and animals of all kinds, adopting several greyhounds and other mixed-breed rescues.

The family will receive visitors from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Kolodiy-Lazuta Funeral Home, 5677 State Road in Parma, OH 44134.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local animal rescue organization or the Akron-Summit County Public Library.
